Getting Your Ducks in a Row: Workshops

Presented by the Cooperative Memorial Society in partnership with Empowered Endings Collective

Planning ahead is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your family.

The Ducks in a Row Workshop is a friendly, practical session designed to help you organise your important documents, record your wishes, and begin the conversations that matter most. You won’t complete every aspect of your planning in one afternoon, but you’ll leave with a solid foundation and the confidence to continue at your own pace.

Who should attend?

Anyone who wants to make life easier for the people they love. Whether you’re just starting to think about planning ahead or have been meaning to get organised for years, you’ll leave with practical tools and a clear path forward. Family members, caregivers and friends are also welcome.

What you’ll learn

  • The key documents every adult should have
  • How to organise your important personal, financial and legal information
  • How to record your funeral, burial or cremation preferences
  • How to start documenting what your family would need in an emergency
  • Practical ways to discuss your wishes with loved ones
